Stonegate sits on State Road 334 (Oak Street) between I-65 and Main Street, with entrances from both directions. The Stonegate property owners association runs a pool, a meeting house and Carol Park. The homes that sold here in the last two years were mostly built between 2004 and 2016.
The market slowed this year. The MLS shows 18 closings in the last 12 months against 21 the year before. The median slipped from $940,000 to $897,500, median days on market went from 12 to 50.5, and homes closed at 97.0% of list on average.
What you are actually buying: a large house, usually around 5,229 square feet of living space in the MLS, between the Village and the interstate. What you are giving up: a low HOA bill. Ask whether the house is on well and septic or public utilities, and budget for both.

Zionsville Community Schools has an operating referendum on the November 3, 2026 ballot at up to 41.28 cents per $100 of assessed value for up to eight years, capped at about $21.5 million a year. It would replace the 2019 referendum, which runs through 2027. Referendum rates sit outside the 1% cap.
State Road 334 connects to I-65 one way and the Village the other. Drive your actual commute at your actual start time before you commit.
Indiana caps homestead property tax at 1% of gross assessed value under the circuit breaker, so most owner-occupants land at or near that figure before any voter-approved referendum rate, which sits outside the cap. Rentals and second homes are capped at 2% and should be modeled separately. Boone County's local income tax is 1.71%, against 1.1% in Hamilton County, per the Indiana Department of Revenue's county rate notice effective October 1, 2026. Confirm assessments with the Boone County Assessor.
